The 4579X is a genuine Traxxas replacement wiring harness for the 4570 EZ-Start and 5270R EZ-Start 2 starter systems. Traxxas lists the same part number in its own catalog. If the harness on your nitro model has worn out or broken, this part restores the push-button start.
The harness connects the handheld EZ-Start control unit to the engine-mounted starter components. Pressing the button on the control unit heats the glow plug and spins the on-board starter drive to turn the engine over.
Fitment
This harness works with both the 4570 EZ-Start and the 5270R EZ-Start 2 systems. Traxxas builds the EZ-Start 2 system for the TRX 2.5, 2.5R and 3.3 nitro engines. The company lists the 4579X as a stock part for the Revo 3.3 (53097-3).

What is in the package
The listing photo shows the genuine Traxxas retail bag with one harness inside:
- Multi-conductor harness with blue, black, red and yellow wires
- Black mounting bracket assembly with a clear connector housing at one end
- White connector plug at the opposite end
The package contains the harness only. The EZ-Start system needs a charged 7.2-volt, 6-cell battery pack and a charger, and Traxxas sells those separately.
