Four pairs of spindle nuts and cage retainers
This aftermarket pack contains four trailer spindle nuts and four clip-on retainers, with replacement references 6-191 and 6-190. It is intended for compatible Dexter 2K-8K axle spindle retention systems; the 8K application is limited to axles built after August 2003.
Each cage has an inward tab and clips over the hex nut. This style uses the machined flat on a D-flat spindle to hold the nut's position after bearing adjustment. Match the existing retention system and the nut's thread and dimensions before ordering. The axle range describes the application, not a load rating for the individual parts.

Check the spindle hardware
Dexter's cage system pairs the 006-190-00 retainer with the specially shaped 006-191-00 hex nut. A standard SAE jam nut is unsuitable. Axles with offset cotter pins cannot use this cage system. Check the axle's hardware layout even if it has E-Z Lube lubrication.
On #8, #9 and D20 axles built without a washer between the nut and outer bearing, do not add a spindle washer: the spindle lacks the length for it. Follow the matching axle's bearing adjustment instructions and retain its required washer arrangement.
This is the cage style, separate from Dexter's later 006-320-00 castellated retainer and cotter pin system. An older D-flat spindle without a cotter pin hole cannot use that later system.
