Weld-on steel latch for a dump body tailgate

This aftermarket TGL3410ST-reference latch kit is for a compatible steel dump body or dump trailer tailgate. Its threaded eye rod and hand-operated winder connect the tailgate to the body-mounted bracket, allowing the latch to draw the tailgate toward the body.

The package supplies one latch set. It includes the winder bar assembly, threaded eye rod, black mounting bracket and clevis, plus a removable pin, retaining clip and washer.

Check the tailgate arrangement

Match the bracket and clevis shapes to the existing latch location. Check the available mounting surface, pin opening, rod reach and clearance for turning the handle. TGL3410ST is the replacement reference; it does not establish fit for every dump truck, trailer or tailgate.

This is a weld-on installation for a suitable steel body and tailgate. Have the body fabricator confirm the mounting locations and alignment before attaching the parts. The threaded rod must engage the winder correctly, and the eye must align with the clevis for the pin and retaining clip.

The latch uses a mechanical winder and pin connection. It is not a keyed security lock, and no keys or lock cylinder are included.
