Outboard Trim and Tilt Seal Kits

Seal set for a matching Yamaha 6H1 trim and tilt unit

This aftermarket rebuild set supplies loose seals and rings for matching power trim and tilt units on select Yamaha 60, 70, 75, 85 and 90 HP outboards. Match the installed hydraulic unit and its seal arrangement before ordering.

One set contains eighteen pictured pieces: twelve black rings, three white rings and three brown profiled seals. The trim motor, pump, cylinders, pistons, rods and metal end caps are not included.

Confirm the complete unit number

The selection references are 6H1-12, 6H1-13, 6H1-14, 6H1-15, 6H1-16 and 6H1-17. Check the complete power trim and tilt assembly number in the parts catalog for your outboard's exact model and year, then compare the removed seals with this set.

Horsepower and the 6H1 prefix alone do not establish compatibility. Yamaha catalogs list complete assembly numbers with additional digits and suffixes, and individual internal parts have their own references. Have a marine technician confirm the unit version, seal profiles and ring sizes, especially when the trim and tilt assembly has been replaced.

Assess the hydraulic unit before rebuilding

Inspect the rods, cylinder bores and seal seats while the unit is apart. Corrosion, scoring or worn internal parts may require further repair. Identify each seal's position from the applicable service instructions; ring color alone does not specify where it belongs.

The work requires the correct hydraulic service procedure for the installed unit, including reassembly, filling and bleeding. This set does not establish the condition of the pump, motor or valves.
