Aluminum transmission and 370 motor upgrade for the TRX4M

This INJORA set (part 4M-98BK) is built for the 1/18 Traxxas TRX4M crawler: a complete CNC machined aluminum transmission plus a 370 brushed motor. The motor is 45T. The transmission comes with a 24.4:1 stainless steel gear set, a 32% underdrive. The aluminum housing is taller than the stock case to fit a 370 motor.

High strength neodymium magnets give the motor its torque, and INJORA rates drag brake and torque delivery above the stock TRX4M part. The IPX6 rating covers rain and brief submersion. The pinion in this set is a 9 tooth, 0.4 module stainless steel gear. The stock TRX4M pinion has 11 teeth.

ESC and gearing notes

The 370 motor draws more current than the stock TRX4M ESC can supply. INJORA does not rate this set for the stock ESC. Its MB100 ESC is listed as compatible, and INJORA says you can run a 3S battery with that pairing.

The 9T pinion is meant for the included 24.4:1 gear set only. INJORA advises against other gear ratios in this transmission.

INJORA lists it for ages 14 and up and notes it is not a toy.
