Shift cable and bellcrank alignment tools for OMC Cobra

This two-tool set is for the cable and bellcrank alignment checks used when servicing a matching OMC Cobra sterndrive. It pairs a shift cable locating tool, reference 915271, with a bellcrank alignment plate, reference 914017. The orange plastic tools are supplied together.

Two tools for different checks

The cable tool is the longer bar with locating tabs and a metal pin at one end. The bellcrank plate is the shorter shaped piece with two mounting holes and cutouts along its edge. Use each tool at the position specified in the service procedure for your drive.

The set contains alignment tools only. A replacement shift cable, bellcrank, drive assembly and separate mounting hardware are not included.

Check the service procedure before ordering

Identify the drive model and check the required tool numbers in its current service instructions. Confirm the locating dimensions and mounting arrangement against that procedure before using the tools. The Cobra name alone does not establish fit for every drive version.

Follow the prescribed sequence for cable setup, bellcrank alignment and final shift checks. These tools do not diagnose worn cables or other damaged shift components. If the drive still shifts poorly after adjustment, inspect the system rather than assuming another alignment will resolve the fault.
