12565560 accelerator cable

This aftermarket throttle cable is a replacement for GM reference 12565560 on 2000-2002 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird models with the 5.7L LS1 engine and without traction control. It connects the accelerator pedal to the mechanical throttle linkage.

Fitment requirements

The listed applications are Chevrolet Camaro Z28/SS and Pontiac Firebird Formula/Trans Am. The throttle body must have a 3.5 in cam. Cars with the NW9 traction-control cable arrangement require a different cable.

Compare the original cable ends, housing mounts and routing before ordering. Year and engine alone do not confirm fit if the throttle body or engine has been changed. This cable does not replace the separate cruise-control cable or an electronic throttle actuator.
