This aftermarket shift gate plate fits the console gear selector on Honda Talon 1000X, 1000R and 1000X-4 models within the years below. The black aluminum plate has separate guide paths between reverse and the high or low forward range, with P, R, H and L markings around the slots.

Installation and selector operation
Compare the plate's mounting holes and slot layout with your Talon's console before fitting it. The plate bolts into place without cutting the vehicle.
Use the shift select lever only with the vehicle completely stopped, your foot on the brake pedal and the engine idling. Honda warns that moving the lever while the vehicle is moving or the engine is above idle can damage the transmission. The guide paths do not permit forward-to-reverse changes while driving or bypass the vehicle's safety requirements.
