Ground connections for the engine and body
This 40140 kit contains four braided copper ground straps with terminals already fitted. The wider strap connects the engine to the frame. Three smaller straps provide ground connections for metal body sections, such as the core support or a truck bed.

Plan the mounting points
Check the distance between attachment points and the terminal hole sizes before ordering. The kit has no listed vehicle-specific fitment, and the straps must reach suitable metal grounding points without being pulled tight.
Keep a separate ground cable from the battery negative terminal to the engine or frame. These straps do not replace that cable. Route the engine strap clear of the exhaust and belts.
