What this cable does

This is a 1-foot (about 30 cm) USB-C to USB-C data cable for DJI remote controllers. One end plugs into the USB-C port on an RC-N1, RC-N2 or RC-N1C controller, the other into a USB-C phone or tablet. You then run the flight app on that screen while it sits in the controller clamp.

Both plugs are right-angle molded units, so they sit flat against the controller body and the back of the phone. The cable and both plugs are black.

This is an aftermarket cable, sold under the ASKUBSKU series. It is not made by DJI.

Compatibility

Controller side: DJI RC-N1, RC-N2 and RC-N1C.

Drones listed with those controllers: DJI Mavic 3, Mavic 3 Cine, Mavic 3 Pro, Mini 2, Mini 3 Pro, Air 2S and Mavic Air 2.

Device side: any phone or tablet with a USB-C port. The listing names iPhone 15 and newer models, iPads, Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel devices as examples.

Check your device before ordering. The phone or tablet needs a USB-C port, so iPhones that use Lightning are not covered.

Connecting the cable

Data passes through this cable in one direction only, so plug orientation matters. The plug printed with the data logo goes into the remote controller. That mark is the USB symbol visible on the first photo. If you plug the cable in backwards, it does not work.

1. Find the plug with the data logo next to its connector.
2. Insert that end into the USB-C port on the RC-N1, RC-N2 or RC-N1C controller.
3. Insert the other end into the USB-C port on your phone or tablet and seat the device in the controller clamp.
4. Open your flight app and follow its connection prompt.

If the app does not detect the controller, swap the two ends first. The data-marked plug must face the remote controller.

The 1-foot length is longer than DJI's own short cable and leaves more room when you fly with a tablet.
