Maxon's GPT maintenance manual identifies 226363-01 as the RH spring and 226363-02 as the LH spring. Match the side designation in your liftgate's parts diagram. Compare the coil winding and the positions of both legs with the spring you are replacing.

Resolve the size before ordering

The size image gives two length values: 5-3/4 in in the caption and 5.92 in beside the measurement arrow. It also gives a 1/2 in diameter without defining the measuring points. Confirm the actual dimensions, including the coil opening and leg lengths, before ordering.

Check that the spring fits the hinge pin and that each leg meets the correct bracket or contact surface. Liftgate capacity and family name alone do not identify the correct spring for every platform revision.

Replacement work
